On Friday morning, under chilly skies and light rain, I made my way to Nsambya Estate, determined to attend a digital security training organized by Nothing2Hide in partnership with Streaming Asylum. The venue Lazima, nestled within the estate opposite the Medical Store welcomed us warmly.
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at 10:00 a.m., the training began at 10:30 a.m. with an eye-opening session on digital safety. We explored how hackers operate and learned practical steps to keep our devices and personal data secure. By midday, the number of participants grew to fifteen, all eager to learn.
At 2:00 p.m., we broke for a hearty lunch. Later, the afternoon session covered password management from creating strong, hack-proof passwords to using secure tools to store them safely. We also learned how to keep our personal files protected. The day wrapped up at 5:00 p.m., leaving us both informed and inspired.
Day Two kicked off at 10:30 a.m. with another energizing breakfast. We began with a fun and challenging quiz reviewing Friday’s lessons. The room buzzed with learning as we delved into how some mobile apps collect personal data without permission and what to do about it.
After lunch, we loosened up with a short stretching and dancing session an excellent way to refresh our minds. The final afternoon focused on secure file sharing and evaluating app security, equipping us with tools to protect our digital footprints.
We checked out at 4:30 p.m., fulfilled and empowered with new digital knowledge.

We are incredibly thankful to Nothing2Hide and Streaming Asylum for this opportunity to build our capacity in digital security. As participants, we walk away better equipped, more informed, and ready to protect ourselves and others in today’s ever-evolving digital landscape.

We are thankful for the two amazing days with nothing to hide. During the training we have discovered other experiences and we recognised the job up to now streaming Asylum is doing to known and seen with the world wide.to our advantage, we earned more lessons from the Facilitator from France.let us keep our mindset and continue producing more stories and podcasts in order to publishing in our platform.
