RUYANGE Jean-Fraterne is an award-winning journalist, web activist, and creative innovator. He was one of the winners of Mondoblog 2017, a finalist for the Isu Elihle Awards 2022, and was also a finalist of the i-UPSHIFT pitch competition, reflecting his commitment to innovation and digital storytelling. Most recently, he secured second place in the Design Thinking Challenge during Impact Week Uganda 2025 and earned first prize in Web Development at the Online Gig Work Portfolio Showcase.
Driven by a passion for amplifying marginalized voices, RUYANGE co-founded PASHA YOUTH HUB, a refugee-led media platform, which empowers displaced youth through creative expression. His work blends journalism, advocacy, and technology to challenge exclusion, promote dignity, and build inclusive narratives for communities often left unheard.
